Encyclopedia of Combinations
Encyclopedia of combinations showing the following tactical topics: destruction of defense, blocking, deflection, uncovered attack, pin, demolition of the pawn structure, attraction, interception, double attack and space release sacrifice.
Beginners and relatively inexperienced players should study and play all examples on a chess board. In addition, it is advisable to write down the solutions with all the variations you calculated, and only after the training session to compare them with the Solutions given in the Encyclopedia. Keep your notes in a notebook specially dedicated to that purpose, so you can monitor and evaluate your own progress. As you progress, you will be able to solve many of the basic and intermediate examples without a chess board, but writing down the solutions and variations is of utmost importance. Of course, when you successfully reach higher echelons of chess mastery, you will be able to solve large portions of the examples without a chess board, just by looking at the diagrams.
The Encyclopedia of Chess Combinations is a reference work in the art of chess tactics and combinations. It is designed to offer endless pleasure to chess enthusiasts, an eternal source of training for the most diligent students and aspiring grandmasters.
