From Ukraine with Love for Chess

The proceeds from this book will support Ukrainian charities.

The Ukrainian chess community is helping Ukraine in the war against Russia. Chess genius Vasyl Ivanchuk is giving simultaneous online fundraisers. European champion and Olympic gold medalist Natalia Zhukova works as a politician in Odessa.

FIDE world champion Ruslan Ponomariov coordinated this wonderful collection of Ukrainian chess games published by New In Chess. All matches were chosen and commented on by the players themselves.

The book also covers Ukraine's three legendary Olympic victories, in 2004 and 2010 for the men's team and 2006 for the women's team. Oleg Romanishin remembers his training match against Mikhail Tal. And Jan Timman takes a look at his favorite Ukrainian studio composers.
