1000x checkmate
(1000 x maths) In this extensive update of the ChessBase, Lubomir Ftacnik introduces you to the delicate art of mating your opponent. In four videos, the grandmaster explains typical math motifs. At the same time, two small collections of material allow a systematic assimilation of the subject. After that, it's about answering the training questions in the 1000 math exercises. Positions are classified in various ways, the simplest of which differentiates between mate in 1, 2 or 3 moves. There is a methodological way to access the 1000 matte exercises through 15 main themes, among which are the tube or aisle matte, suffocated matte, the king in the center or motifs related to the h column. Systematically solving exercises on different topics may be a bit easier, but it will certainly help you when similar situations appear in your games. Video footage: 60 minutes
