Lysyj's new book is for the adventurer who wants to start playing Nimzo Indian Defense but is afraid of drowning in his theory. As he notes in the foreword, "my creative task is to provide the reader with useful practical advice and to save him unnecessary learning expenses". The book consists of 13 theoretical chapters and an additional section with 12 illustrative pieces.

Igor Lysyj he is a strong Grandmaster with a maximum rating of 2700. He is also a senior FIDE coach. Lysyj was Russian champion in 2014, European blitz champion in 2019, won the student world championship in 2008 with the Russian team. He wrote to Chess Stars the books The English Hedgehog, The Berlin Defense and Open Games for Black.
